Production Manager, Operations Engineer
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Master Scheduler of Production Planning. This position will ensure that production plans are developed and executed in alignment with client demand, regulatory requirements, and operational capacities. The Master Scheduler will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to maintain efficient workflows and meet customer delivery timelines. While specific job duties may vary, here are some of the responsibilities and qualifications associated with this role.
- Ensure that the production plan aligns with customer demands, resource availability, and organizational goals
- Identify opportunities for process optimization in production scheduling, seeking ways to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize production delays
- Generate and maintain reports on production schedule performance, highlighting key metrics like adherence to deadlines, production delays, and resource utilization
- Bridge the gap between demand forecasts and production capabilities
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, material usage, and other key performance indicators to comply with regulatory and quality standards
- Develop contingency plans to manage unexpected delays or disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on customer delivery timelines
- Responsible for tracking departmental performance metrics, as required
- Maintain work area to 5S standards as posted in work area
- Translate demand into action, identify gaps and constraints, optimize production flow, and ensure strong collaboration across functions
- Ensures that the S&OP process is executed effectively, translating the high-level strategy into operational actions that support customer satisfaction, profitability, and efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, etc.
- 3-5 years of experience in production planning or scheduling withing a biopharma, pharmaceutical, or CDMO environment
- Experience interacting and collaborating with internal and external clients, customers, and/or suppliers
- Experience using electronic ERP and Material Management systems as required
- Proficient in using shipping software and Microsoft Office applications
- Adaptable to changing priorities and tight deadlines
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling pharmaceutical products
