Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Adult Surgical Critical Care Unit leadership team in the role of Clinical Operations Manager.

The clinical manager of operations combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes.

  • Reports to:

    Clinical Operations Director
  • Direct Reports: 34
  • Key internal relationships:
    Cardiovascular, Emergency Department, PT/OT, Respiratory Therapy
Responsibilities
  • Translate and achieve strategic priorities and outcomes, including quality and safety improvements, care affordability, patient and team member experiences.
  • Provide strategic vision and operational planning for the unit.
  • Lead an interprofessional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes.
  • Advance nursing practice by advocating for and embedding evidence‑based practices and professional nursing standards.
  • Provide oversight of a unit that is operational and staffed 24§x7, including weekends and holidays.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Master of Nursing (MSN) required if bachelor degree not in nursing.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license required.
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
