Position: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant- Primary Care- USA Parkway (Fishers, IN)

We are seeking a Family
Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to join our Primary Care team at IU Health Medical Group - Primary Care Fishers
.

Position Details
  • Full-time, Days
  • No weekends, holidays, or call, allowing for work/life balance
  • 100% outpatient
  • Expected patient volume is 60-80 weeks, diverse patient population
  • Team includes 9 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers
  • Procedures include:
    Nexplanon and IUD placements, minor skin treatments such as I&D and wart removal
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess health status through obtaining relevant health history and comprehensive physical exam, preventative screening, and identification of medical risk factors.
  • Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis and identification of individual, family, and community needs.
  • Develop treatment plan to maximize the health potential of the individual, family, and/or community.
  • Order and adjust medication per collaborative written agreement and prescriptive authority in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, or in consultation, and with signature of physician.
  • Direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards for nursing practice.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for the nursing staff, physicians, hospital, and other healthcare providers.
  • Serve as an advocate for patients, staff, and management.
  • Assist in the assessment of the clinical nurse’s performance and validate clinical competencies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan.
  • Provide prompt and professional medical attention to patients without regard to race, creed, color, gender, national or ethnic origin, age, or disability.
  • Manage acute and long-term care of the patient.
  • Expand and maintain professional knowledge through continuing medical education.
  • Complete all competencies as required by IU Health.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • FNP or PA certification required
  • Open to new graduates; must have experience in an emergency department, critical care and/or medical surgical area
