Full time roles are eligible for a sign on bonus. The amount is dependent upon FTE.

At least 1 year of Pediatric ED experience required for this role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Emergency Department Nurse to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide age-appropriate, high-acuity emergency nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents presenting with acute illness or injury. Working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment, you will perform rapid assessments, stabilize critical patients, administer treatments, and support families through stressful medical events.

• Conduct triage and rapid physical assessments using pediatric-specific protocols
• Stabilize and monitor critically ill or injured pediatric patients, including airway management, fluid resuscitation, and sepsis interventions
• Administer weight-based medications and IV therapy with precise pediatric dosing
• Assist providers during resuscitations, suturing, splinting,

The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN);
  Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions:
  Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
