Responsibilities Position Summary

The Director of PT has the responsibility for overall direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of professional and supportive staff, volunteer and students utilized in the PT department. Also, he/she is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of all patient care programs, plans for providing care, performance improvement programs, polices and procedures, maintaining adequate qualified and competent personnel, adequate space and equipment to ensure a high degree of quality patient care.

The director will also ensure effective integration of the facility and operations plan that compliment the organization’s plans for continuous performance improvement and the delivery of quality patient care.

Position Responsibilities/Standards General
  • Attend department, clinic or company meetings as required
  • Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns
  • Consistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow staff members.
  • Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.
