Customer Service Rep, Retail & Store Manager
Overview
Meijer is launching a new store in Fishers, IN. We are seeking a Curbside Lead to support daily operations and deliver excellent customer experiences.
Responsibilities- Provide direction related to operations, processes, and conditions of the area.
- Plan, guide, and empower team members in the day-to-day operation of the department.
- Engage peers to deliver the best possible shopping experience, including exceptional checkout.
- Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
- Mentor and coach other team members to exceed customer service and sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
- Support training of new team members and cross‑training of high‑potential talent.
- Work with leadership on departmental schedule writing to focus on engagement, customer service, sales, and profitability.
- Ensure freshness of products by monitoring execution of rotation and dating policies.
- Guide the team in compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Lead team members to ensure ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product display are completed.
- Operate register and cash handling when needed.
- Operate powered equipment where applicable.
- Participate in period end inventories.
- May be required to act in lead capacity in other departments throughout the store.
- Passion for customer service with total engagement and approachability.
- Initiates interactions with customers and peers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Retail or other customer service experience preferred.
- Creative thinking skills and ability to influence others.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and gain customer confidence for repeat business.
- Capability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product.
- Experience executing plans and positively influencing a strong team environment.
