About this PositionAs a Parent Relationship Leader, you will create exceptional customer experiences, drive sales, and maintain operational efficiency at our store locations. Your primary focus will be executing engaging meet and greets with pet parents, delivering personalized service, and maximizing close rates through effective upselling techniques. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a deep passion for customer satisfaction, and a proactive approach to achieving sales targets and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities & Core Competencies- Engaging Meet and Greets:
- Execute warm, personalized meet and greets with pet parents, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Listen attentively to customer needs, ask probing questions, and actively engage in conversations to understand preferences.
- Showcase enthusiasm and product knowledge, demonstrating a genuine interest in helping customers meet their pets’ needs.
- Sales and Revenue Optimization:
- Utilize effective sales techniques, such as cross‑selling complementary products and bundling services, to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Provide tailored product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences, emphasizing key features to drive sales conversions.
- Monitor close rates, analyze sales data, and identify improvement opportunities to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Customer Experience Enhancement:
- Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the meet and greet process, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly.
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge, answer questions accurately, and offer customized solutions to meet pet care requirements.
- Foster long‑term relationships with customers through personalized recommendations, follow‑up communication, and ongoing support.
- Operational Excellence:
- Assist with front desk operations, including processing transactions, managing appointments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Support back‑of‑house activities, such as inventory management, restocking shelves, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in storage areas.
- Adhere to safety, health, and sanitation standards, contributing to a safe and hygienic store environment.
- Team Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate effectively with team members and store leadership to achieve sales targets and operational goals.
- Communicate proactively with colleagues, share customer insights and feedback, and contribute ideas to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Participate in training programs, meetings, and development opportunities to enhance skills and product knowledge.
- Must love dogs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales, customer service, or retail is a plus.
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, or a related field preferred, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, and effective communication.
- Knowledge of retail operations, sales techniques, and pet care products/services is desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
- Flexible work schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds.
- Ability to stand 100% of work time.
- Advanced computer literacy.
Hourly Wage: $21 – $24
