Job Overview
Trane Technologies is seeking a Rental Sales Manager for the Great Lakes Region. The role focuses on managing the rental sales business, ensuring financial results, and leading a sales team.
Responsibilities- Manage the annual and long‑term development and delivery of financial results for the Great Lakes Regional rental business.
- Achieve annual objectives for profit, volume, margins, and market share of the rental business stream.
- Lead customer and district sales management, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction measurement, and price management.
- Execute marketing, account penetration, market penetration, and customer retention strategies.
- Hire, onboard, assess, and train new sales associates; set quotas and maintain accurate sales forecasting.
- Utilize Trane sales tools and systems consistently.
- Assemble account teams and collaborate with service Account Managers to drive business development, customer focus, and product portfolio execution.
- Ensure regional and local compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational integrity.
- Support human capital strategies such as employee engagement, recruitment, retention, and diversity and inclusion.
- Travel within the Great Lakes Region as required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four‑year college or university.
- Five (5) or more years of related experience in a sales leadership role.
- Valid Driver’s License in the state for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations (e.g., DUI, Hit & Run, Recurring suspensions).
