The Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role located in Fishers, IN. This role is responsible for greeting guests, assessing their vehicle needs, and guiding them through the sales process from initial consultation to purchase completion. Day-to-day tasks include presenting vehicle features and benefits, conducting test drives, preparing sales quotes, and explaining financing and warranty options in a clear and honest manner.
The Sales Associate will maintain product knowledge of Honda models and pre-owned inventory, follow up with leads and existing customers, and use dealership tools and systems to manage appointments and sales documentation. Collaboration with the sales, finance, and service teams is essential to ensure a positive, consistent customer experience.
- Customer service and relationship-building skills, including the ability to listen actively, communicate clearly, and provide a welcoming, respectful experience for all guests.
- Sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify customer needs, present solutions, and guide customers through the decision-making process with integrity.
- Product and industry knowledge, or the ability and willingness to quickly learn Honda vehicles, automotive features, and basic financing and warranty concepts.
- Organizational and technology skills, including comfort using CRM systems, email, and dealership software to manage leads, appointments, and documentation.
- Professional presentation, reliability, and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work on-site, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Previous experience in automotive sales, retail sales, or customer-facing roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and ability to safely operate dealership vehicles.
