Job Description
Robins & Morton is seeking a Carpenter to work on a variety of construction projects across the United States. The position involves constructing, repairing, and maintaining permanent and temporary structures using both hand and power tools. The role requires working under the guidance of a site manager and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Take off material quantities accurately.
- Build square, level, and plumb project components using basic carpentry tools.
- Install safety provisions such as scaffolding, gang ladders, perimeter railings, fall protection systems, and temporary covers.
- Install interior finish items including wall protection, doors and hardware, toilet accessories, cubicle curtain tracks, TV brackets, lockers, and more.
- Operate hand and power tools safely (saws, drills, cutting torches, etc.).
- Identify and request required PPE before starting tasks.
- Operate basic equipment such as all-terrain telescoping forklifts, backhoes, skid steers, tractors, and the like.
- Cut and install interior and exterior wood or metal backing as required.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of carpentry experience, including hanging and taping.
- Previous hospital construction experience (preferred).
- Experience installing building specialties, cabinets, windows, countertops, commercial doors, frames, and hardware (Division 10) ranging from 2–5 years.
- NCCER training or certification (preferred).
- Ability to read construction documents and execute tasks based on those documents.
