Principal Function:
The Historic Trades Specialist – Carpenter will be responsible for woodworking tasks in both the modern and historic carpenter shops. The majority of time will be spent demonstrating the carpenter's trade to guests using historically appropriate tools. This position will also work with the Manager of Historic Trades, and others as assigned, to perform repairs, maintenance, and reproduction of Conner Prairie's buildings and structures, both modern and historic, utilizing tools, methods and materials appropriate to maintaining an authentic environment.

Education and/or
Experience:
High school degree or GED required. General understanding of basic carpentry skills, both hand and power tool processes. Experience working with youth and adults in an informal learning environment preferred.
