Local CDL-A Truck Driver Job Overview
- Strong pay built for local work. Drivers earn up to $90,000 per year witha $0.75/mi base rate plus a $0.15/mi performance bonus — up to $0.90/mi all in. Weekly averages around $1,703.*
- Home every day. This is a true local position — consistent routes within 200 miles of Shelbyville, IN, with home time at the end of every shift.
- Shifts built around local freight. Expect average 8-hour shifts with start times ranging from 4 PM to 2 AM.
- Scheduling that works. Drivers receive one set weekend day off per week plus one floating weekday off during non-peak season.
- Freight that’s close and consistent. This is a touch-freight position hauling refrigerated grocery loads with pallet jack and some hand unloading on established local lanes.
- Pay that grows with you. A $0.05/mi increase is available at one year of service.*
- Get started strong. Earn $500 orientation completion pay right out of the gate, plus up to $7,500 in sign-on bonus paid out over your first year for drivers who maintain strong performance.*
- Refer a driver, get rewarded. MAST’s referral bonus pays $500 when you refer a qualified driver who joins the team.
