Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Pick Up & Delivery (PUD) provides customer service activities related to picking up and delivery orders to and from Fed Ex Office stores and customers’ places of business. Responsibilities are accomplished by driving a company vehicle and ensuring that regular servicing and cleaning of vehicles is conducted. The PUD Courier will receive daily route information from a centralized dispatcher, who may add or remove stops as needed.
The PUD Courier may be asked to perform other duties within a Fed Ex Office Store when not assigned any pick‑up/delivery activity.
- Driver the company vehicle to perform pick‑up/delivery service for Fed Ex Office stores and customers.
- Pick‑up duties include driving to the customer’s place of business (or a Fed Ex Office store), receiving completed masters for photocopying orders, and picking up supplies and inventory items from vendor locations.
- Delivery duties include delivering finished photocopy orders to customers or a Fed Ex Office store and distributing marketing materials as requested.
- Receive daily route information from a centralized dispatcher via company‑provided phone.
- Operate company vehicle in accordance with applicable motor vehicle regulations, company policy, and auto insurance guidelines.
- Maintain the vehicle through regular servicing and cleaning procedures.
- Maintain pick‑up/delivery logs and vehicle maintenance logs to document duties performed.
- Adhere to Fed Ex Office company and vehicle safety policies and guidelines.
- Follow accident procedures and observe traffic laws.
- Provide efficient and professional delivery service, answer customer questions, resolve problems, and ensure polite and caring interactions.
- Perform additional duties within the store during non‑delivery times.
- Complete any other duties as needed or required.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- At least 21 years old with a minimum of two years of driving experience.
- Valid and current driver’s license.
- Ability to comply with any specialized regulatory or licensing requirements, as determined by geographic location and/or work assignment.
- Must meet and maintain the Fed Ex Office Motor Vehicle Requirements, audited annually.
- For new hires, must meet all Fed Ex Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring.
- For current Fed Ex Office team members, must meet hiring criteria for the position and transfer requirements as outlined in the Team Member Handbook.
- Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods.
- Ability to move and lift 55 pounds.
- Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees on a consistent basis.
- Effective communication with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction.
- Function in a fast‑paced environment under substantial pressure.
- Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Report regularly to work and maintain established business hours to support the Fed Ex Office business.
