Undergrad Student Federal Workstudy Employment-Recreation Attendant Job Description

The Office of Athletics & Recreation Services is seeking a federal aid recipient for student employment. This position will be funded by federal work study dollars; only students that receive financial aid awards can be considered for this position.

• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons of the Recreation Center
• Consistently enforce all policies of the Recreation Center
• Perform opening and closing procedures as necessary
• Check and scan One Card of eligible users & operate computer software efficiently
• Process electronic transactions through Black Board
• Perform equipment checkout / inventory procedures
• Assist patrons with membership application process
• Assist with consistent cleaning and disinfecting of fitness equipment
• Provide support during medical emergencies (CPR/AED) as needed
• Respond to staff internal communication in a timely and professional manner
• Attend scheduled meeting and training sessions

• Effective communication both written and oral
• Customer service oriented
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

This is a part-time non-benefited student only position. Students may work up to 20 hours per week @ $15 per hour.
