Position Overview:Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of Youth Service Programming, including the Homework Center and the Summer Youth Program. Responsible for conducting intakes, pre-assessments and internal and external referrals utilizing the CAAPS procedure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Assist in the development of new programming and assist in preparation of proposals.
- Assist in management of day-to-day operations of youth service programs.
- Participate in local networking and community events as appropriate to support youth programming.
- Assist youth with homework and tutor elementary and middle school aged youth.
- Supervise center activities.
- Gather information concerning available social services, education, training, jobs, and housing for youth to be a resource for the community and MOC.
- Recruit youth for programming.
- Complete the intake and assessment process on all potential clients, utilizing the CAAPS procedures; provide internal and external referrals to assist the client in obtaining appropriate services relative to their needs.
- Provide case management to youth and maintain detailed individual files.
- Assist in the development of program and budget design and implementation.
- Assist in the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to funders as required.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Youth Services.
- Attend appropriate training sessions as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate degree in related field or some post secondary education with tutoring experience can substitute for degree; with at least one year of experience in youth programming
- Case management experience and experience working with youth.
- Demonstrated program development and implementation experience.
- Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills preferred.
- Ability to relate to persons of varying socio-economic and racial/ethnic populations.
- Acceptable background check.
- Occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to sit as a desk and use a computer and telephone
- Ability to travel to different sites as required

Compensation:A salary within the range of $15.00 to $22.41 per hour will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the MOC compensation philosophy.
