Position Overview:

Making Opportunity Count Digital Navigator Intern position supports participants through Digital Literacy workshops by providing both group and one-on-one instruction designed to build essential technology skills. Responsibilities are tailored to the unique needs of each individual and may include digital skills training, technology support, and guidance in accessing online resources and services. The role focuses on empowering participants to increase their digital confidence and proficiency through personalized assistance and education.

This is a temporary, summer role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducted targeted outreach within the community to promote digital literacy training opportunities
  • Assist in developing and tailoring outreach materials to effectively engage the intended audience
  • Facilitate training sessions for both youth and adults
  • Support participants in successfully completing the training program
  • Maintain a registration and intake system for participants
  • Gather information concerning available social services, education, training, jobs, and housing for participants to be a resource for the community and MOC.
  • Distribute digital devices to participants as needed
  • Assist in preparing reports outlining program outcomes, challenges, and key outputs
  • Attend appropriate training sessions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Youth Programming

Required

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be able to attend a pre-summer training and be available to work during the summer
  • Associate degree in related field or some post‑secondary education with tutoring experience can substitute for degree
  • Case management experience and experience working with youth is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong computer and digital skills preferred
  • Demonstrated program development and implementation experience
  • Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to relate to persons of varying socio‑economic and racial/ethnic populations.
  • Acceptable background check is required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, use a keyboard, use a telephone and climb stairs
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Compensation:

An hourly rate of $20.00 per hour will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the MOC compensation philosophy.
