Part Time Evening Faculty, Humanities American Sign Language; ASL

Job Description

Membership in the Fitchburg State University part‑time adjunct faculty pool is open to qualified experts external to the university who possess skills, education, and experience in academic and/or professional areas. All part-time faculty are responsible for providing a high‑quality learning environment, utilizing their focused expertise and experience in individual classrooms, laboratories, and studios.

• ASL 1000 – ASL for Beginners I
• ASL 1100 – ASL for Beginners II
• ASL 2100 – ASL Intermediate I
• ASL 2200 – ASL Intermediate II
• ASL/SOC 1050 – Intro to Deaf Studies
• ASL/SOC 2350 – Deaf Culture

• Master’s degree strongly preferred; candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree with substantial experience teaching ASL will also be considered.
• Previous experience teaching ASL required; prior college‑level teaching experience is preferred.
