Job DescriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and student-centered English Teacher to join our faculty. This full‑time position offers the opportunity to teach college‑preparatory English courses while helping to expand our academic offerings by developing engaging electives that reflect your interests and expertise.
Whether your passion is journalism, creative writing, film studies, public speaking, sports literature, communications, digital media, mythology, philosophy, literature of social justice, or another area, we encourage innovative educators who are excited to help build a curriculum that prepares students for success in college and beyond.
- Teach engaging and rigorous high school English courses that develop students' reading, writing, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Design and teach elective courses that reflect your interests and enrich our academic catalog
- Create dynamic lessons that foster discussion, collaboration, creativity, and analytical thinking
- Inspire a love of literature while helping students become confident writers and effective communicators
- Support the continued growth and rigor of the English curriculum and elective offerings
- Provide meaningful feedback that helps students grow as readers, writers, and thinkers
- Foster a structured, positive classroom environment where every student can thrive
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities
- Contribute to the broader life of the school through advising, extracurricular activities, and community engagement

Job RequirementsWhat You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in English, English Education, Literature, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Experience teaching high school English or Language Arts
- Strong writing, communication, and classroom management skills
- A passion for literature, writing, and developing students' communication skills
- Creativity and enthusiasm for designing innovative elective courses that broaden student opportunities
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous curriculum development
- Dedication to academic excellence and preparing students for college, careers, and lifelong learning
- Ability to meet all Massachusetts background check and fingerprinting requirements
- At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- Master degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
