Early Educator – Teacher

Pay: $20.00-$23.00/hour

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 7am-4pm

What You'll Do

  • Foster a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive.
  • Support the planning and implementation of engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.
  • Encourage each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Assist with classroom management using positive guidance techniques that celebrate each child's individuality.
  • Maintain an organized, stimulating, and safe learning environment.
  • Complete classroom documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents and caregivers.
  • Assume classroom leadership when the Lead Teacher is unavailable.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training.
  • Support center-wide operations through teamwork and shared responsibilities

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED/HiSET
  • Standard driver's license – class C or class D
  • Teacher Certification
  • One year of related experience
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and meet one of the following sets of requirements for education and experience:
    • Have successfully completed three credits in category Child Growth and have nine months of work experience or one practicum.
    • Have a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
    • Have graduated from a two-year vocational program in early childhood education, approved by Office of Child Care Services (OCCS) for both the education experience requirements and have been evaluated by the program instructor.
