The TRIO SSS Student Experience Coordinator is responsible for developing and coordinating a comprehensive four-year curriculum of programming for students participating in TRIO SSS. The Coordinator will create a developmental sequence of educational, professional, and experiential opportunities designed to support students throughout their college journey and prepare them for successful graduation and their next steps after college.

Programming will focus on four primary areas: financial literacy, academic skills, career exploration and readiness, and experiential learning. Experiential learning opportunities may include undergraduate research, internships, study abroad, leadership experiences, conferences, and other high-impact educational experiences.

Create a developmental progression of programming that builds students' knowledge, skills, confidence, and independence from their first year through graduation.
Develop annual programming calendars that align with students' developmental needs and the TRIO SSS program's goals and objectives.

Develop and coordinate financial literacy programming focused on practical skills for college and life after graduation.

Coordinate workshops and activities addressing time management, study strategies, organization, academic planning, research, writing, presentations, and other academic skills.
Develop programming that progresses from foundational skills in the first year to advanced academic preparation and graduate-school readiness in later years.

Develop a four-year career development sequence beginning with self-exploration and career awareness and progressing toward professional preparation.
Coordinate programming in collaboration with the Career Services and Advising Center related to resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking, professional communication, job searches, internships, and graduate school.

Develop and expand opportunities for TRIO SSS students to participate in high-impact experiences including undergraduate research, internships, study abroad, service learning, conferences, leadership programs, and professional development.

Build strong relationships with TRIO SSS students and promote active participation in program opportunities.
Support student leadership and encourage students to take increasing ownership of their educational and professional development.

Establish learning outcomes and measures of success for programming.
Manage program logistics, including scheduling, communications, registration, materials, budgets, and event coordination.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience working with first-generation college students and/or developing student-focused programs.
• Experience coordinating educational, professional development, career, or student engagement programs.
• Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.

This is a contracted position that ends August 31, 2027. Contractor hours cannot exceed 20 hours per week. The hourly rate is $30 per hour.
