Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5–7 years of experience and a strong command of Solid Works. This role is ideal for someone who can contribute immediately to the design and development of complex capital equipment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the creation and support of Vytek’s advanced laser systems and must be confident working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.

Vytek Laser Systems is hiring an experienced Mechanical Engineer (5–7 years) with deep expertise in Solid Works 3D CAD and mechanical design for complex capital equipment. You’ll drive product development from concept through production, working cross-functionally with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver world‑class industrial laser systems.

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for capital equipment and industrial automation.
• Create accurate 3D Solid Works models and 2D drawings conforming to best practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary engineers (software, electrical, manufacturing) for integrated system design.
• Lead design reviews, propose engineering improvements, and refine prototypes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during build, test, and deployment phases.
• Ensure designs comply with industry safety and quality standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in capital equipment or industrial automation.
• Expert proficiency in Solid Works 3D CAD (assemblies, PDM workflows, drawing standards).
• Hands‑on experience designing complex motion systems, pneumatics, and precision mechanical mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Familiarity with GD&T, FEA analysis tools, and DFM/DFA methodologies
