Job Summary:
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of molded parts for defects while inspecting both customer and industry quality standards. Responsible for auditing materials/components received using general use of measuring equipment and software. Perform inspection on parts where work was performed by outside services. Interfaces with production workers and maintain open communication with Shift Supervisor or Plant Quality Director.

Duties/Responsibilities:include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
- Analyze and interpret drawings, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required.
- Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
- Mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
- Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments.
- Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers.
- Perform duties with little or no supervision.
Qualifications and
Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years Production knowledge in Manufacturing.
- The ability to read blueprints, sketches, specifications and technical materials.
- The ability to work with coworkers in a team environment.
- Ability to use hand held measuring devices.
- Critical Thinking;
Complex Problem Solving; and, Verbal and Written Communication. - Background ISO
9001 environment preferred. Similar quality system experience such as AS9100, ISO
13485 or IATF
16949 welcomed. - Computer experience with Windows environment and MS Office Suite.
- English language proficiency, to include verbal and written communication.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for prolonged periods of time during 8-12-hour shifts.
