Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are sought by The Arc of Opportunity to support individuals with Developmental Disabilities. The organization has led the way for over 60 years to improve lives and help individuals reach their fullest potential.
Salary & Benefits$3500 Sign-On Bonus for New Hires (paid in 2 installments at 3 and 6 months with Orientation completed). $1500 Referral Bonus for Current Staff. $20.40 an hour or $21.42 with MAP Certification. ScheduleSunday, Monday, Tuesday & Friday 3pm-11pm and Saturday 9am-5pm (40 hr/week).
Essential Job Functions- Actively Advocate for individuals served demonstrating the Agency’s values and mission in all interactions
- Leveraging your knowledge and interests in the community to empower individuals and enhance their quality of life
- Implement Individual Service Plans
- Assist individuals with Activities of Daily living, including household tasks and chores
- Assist individuals with appointments, including driving the Agency’s van
- Present in a respectful and professional manner in all interaction
- Attend all trainings and implement knowledge throughout your work
- Communicate in an effective manner whether orally or written
- High school diploma or GED
- Active and valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass background checks
- Ability to lift to 50lbs and sustained periods of sitting or standing
- Ability to assist in a restraint if needed
- Experience in substance abuse or mental health preferred
