Community Resources for Justice (CRJ) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing lives and strengthening communities through direct service, advocacy, and innovation. We operate across four core service lines:

• Community Strategies (CS): Supporting adults with developmental disabilities to live independently and thrive in their communities, providing residential and non‑residential programs and supporting job development, coaching, and education.
• Reentry Services (RS): Supporting people leaving incarceration to make positive, sustainable life transitions through evidence‑based programming and collaboration with community agencies.
• Crime & Justice Institute (CJI): Driving improvements in justice systems by working with local, state, and national partners to develop data‑driven policies and systemic change.
• Family Reentry (FRE): Offering evidence‑based interventions to address behavioral health, domestic violence, recidivism, and youth risk, while connecting clients to basic needs and coping skills.

We are looking for compassionate Residential Counselors to support the wonderful individuals we serve. This is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week, non‑exempt position located in Fitchburg, MA. The role is eligible for benefits and offers a starting rate of $18 per hour, with potential for increased compensation through performance and further training.

Schedule:

First/Second shifts

• Supervise and transport clients during assigned hours, including job interviews, medical appointments, recreation, religious services, and shopping trips.
• Support and teach clients new skills, including specific goals outlined in their Individual Service Plans.
• Act as a positive role model, promoting safety, independence, and quality of life for clients in all settings.
• Administer medications and complete timely documentation such as progress notes, weekly summaries, and attendance records.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Desire to make a genuine difference in the lives of others.
• Must pass required certifications within the time set by the agency.
• Must pass a criminal background check and driver’s check.

Pay range: $18–$22 per hour.
