Position Summary:
The RN Weekend Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing operations during weekend day shifts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, adherence to regulatory standards, and effective staff management. This leadership role is crucial in maintaining clinical excellence and operational efficiency during weekend hours. Hours 8:00am to 4:30pm Saturday and Sunday.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Supervision:
Coordinate and supervise nursing staff activities during weekend day shifts.
Provide guidance and support to nursing personnel, addressing clinical and administrative issues as they arise.
Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Patient Care Management:
Monitor patient care to ensure standards are met and intervene when necessary.
Facilitate effective communication among staff, patients, and families to promote patient-centered care.
Participate in patient assessments and care planning as needed.
Staff Coordination:
Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage, including adjusting assignments based on patient acuity and staff availability.
Mentor and evaluate nursing staff performance, providing feedback and identifying opportunities for professional development.
Assist in onboarding and training new weekend staff members.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, staff assignments, and any incidents occurring during the shift.
Report significant events to appropriate administrative personnel.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to policy development.
Education & Licensure:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of GA.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
Experience in acute care or long-term care settings is advantageous.
Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Saturday & Sunday 8:00am to 4:30pm.
May require occasional holiday coverage as needed.
On-call responsibilities may be assigned.
