Overview
CORE is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager – Healthcare Construction to support the preconstruction process by providing comprehensive assistance in quantity takeoffs, trade partner coordination, project organization, and communication on multiple projects at a time and ensuring a smooth workflow under the guidance of the Preconstruction Manager. This role involves trade-specific responsibilities, contributing to project deliverables, and supporting healthcare construction projects, including inpatient environments, with strict adherence to healthcare standards and ICRA requirements.
PreconstructionManager Coordination
- Proactively bring questions, observations, and ideas to the Preconstruction Manager for assigned trades
- Seek feedback on approach and potential areas of improvement
- Attend CORE project page-turn reviews of documents
- Coordinate with the Preconstruction Manager for pre-bid site walks (when needed/applicable)
- Assist in setting up Building Connected and recommend trade partners for review
- Participate in preconstruction workshops and training
- Organize all documents (e.g. plans, specifications, soils reports, bid forms, proposals, etc.) for the Design Team and Trade Partners. Ensuring all documents are saved in designated locations to ensure accessibility and version control
- Generate and manage RFIs
- Assist with formatting and structuring presentations to ensure a professional and cohesive final product
- Develop scope options and conduct option studies
- Develop detailed breakdowns and scope sheets
- Develop scope checklists for assigned trades to confirm all scope elements are accounted for in project plans and estimates
- Conduct precise quantity takeoffs for assigned trades
- Review plans for constructability of assigned trades
- Assist in setting up QA/QC Bluebeam sessions
- Maintain regular communication with trade partners
- Analyze trade partner proposals
- Track outreach and participation and escalate concerns
- Draft trade-specific sections for the Basis of Estimate
- Contribute to the creation of detailed estimates by drafting trade-specific sections for inclusion in the overall project documentation
- Provide detailed input on assigned trades to fill in critical information, respond to owner questions, and enhance the clarity and depth of project presentations
- Support preparation of owner and stakeholder deliverables
- Healthcare construction experience (preferred)
- Healthcare Construction Certification (preferred)
- Certified Healthcare Construction (preferred)
- ICRA certification
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Building Connected, Excel (required)
- Strong organizational and communication skills (required)
- Ability to manage multiple projects (required)
