Nature of Work
We are hiring for Parks County Fair event staff. These are temporary positions with no benefits.
Dates of Employment:
Labor Day weekend, September 4 through September 7, 2026 (some select positions available during the week of August 31). Both AM and PM shifts are available. Wages between $18.35 and $19.45 per hour depending on position. Event staff must attend mandatory paid training. Final offer contingent on background check. Must be at least 18 years old.
- Admissions Cashier/Floater
:
Process admissions transactions using a computerized system. Cash handling, computer use, excellent customer service required. Work sitting in an enclosed booth for long periods. - Admissions Money Runner
:
Makes change for up to 6 cashiers, has strong communication and money‑handling experience. Responsible for money drops at ticket booths. Work mainly on feet. - Admissions Supervisor
:
Troubleshoot issues at ticket booths, handle system errors, keep process flowing smoothly. Requires computer, customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills. - Guest Services Coordinator
:
Provide customer service, answer questions, maintain admission lines. Requires customer service, technology proficiency, problem‑solving, teamwork, and communication. Work mainly on feet, outdoors. - Entertainment Coordinator
:
Coordinates unloading/loading entertainment acts, stocks food & beverages, pays artists, makes announcements, and manages stages. Must lift up to 10 lbs, stay on feet, problem‑solve, and may use the loudspeaker system. - Ice Crew
:
Delivers ice to food vendors, entertainment, and sponsors. Must lift 16 lbs repeatedly, possess good customer service, organization, and stand or walk for extended periods. - Information Booth
:
Answers public questions, manages lost & found, reports concerns, works outdoors under a tent, may train volunteers. - Mascot
:
Wears the Coco the Cow costume, interacts with attendees, facilitates photo opportunities, stands long periods outdoors. - Mascot Handler
:
Assists the mascot, interacts with the public, wears themed attire, may make announcements, works outdoors and stands for long periods. - Money Room Assistant
:
Assists in counting cash received throughout the fair. Requires previous cash‑handling experience and strong organization. Primarily seated in an office. - Parking Attendant
:
Directs traffic and prepares customers for parking payment. Excellent customer service and communication required. Stands most of the time. - Parking Cashier
:
Processes parking transactions using a computerized system. Requires computer skills, excellent customer service, and works outdoors. - Parking Supervisor
:
Troubleshoots parking lot issues, handles system errors, keeps flow smooth. Requires computer, customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills. - Ticket Scanners
:
Scans admission tickets at the front gate. Requires customer service, ability to use electronic barcode scanners, outdoor work, and standing for long periods. - Vendor Check‑In Support
:
Assists vendor check‑in days before the fair, distributes packets, answers questions. Requires organization, customer service, communication, problem‑solving, and work both indoors and outdoors.
Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Additional RequirementsVerification of eligibility for employment per Arizona and federal law. Unexpired identification required for I‑9 verification. Mascot positions require a full background check.
