Electrophysiology Physician

Join our esteemed healthcare team as an Electrophysiology Physician and make a meaningful impact on patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. This ongoing contract opportunity offers you the chance to work with advanced cardiac electrophysiology procedures, specializing in diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disturbances. Your expertise will support a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering top-tier cardiac care, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and techniques.

Required Skills:
  • Proven experience performing cardiac electrophysiology procedures, including ablations, with documentation of at least 100 EP cases in the last two years
  • Proficiency in moderate sedation, TEEs, and using Abbott Ensite-X Mapping system
  • Ability to independently perform ablations and manage heart rhythm disturbances
  • Comfort with performing procedures on adult patient populations
  • Strong knowledge of Cerner EMR system
  • Board Certification (BC or BE) in Cardiology
  • Valid AZ medical license (or eligible for licensure), AZ DEA registration
  • ACLS certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional EP experience
Nice to Have

Skills:
  • Experience with hospital consults in a cath lab environment
  • Familiarity with other electrophysiology devices or mapping systems
  • Ability to perform moderate sedation unaided
  • Previous experience working in a hospital with 268 beds or similar settings
Preferred

Education and Experience:
  • Completion of fellowship in Cardiology with subspecialty training in Electrophysiology
  • At least 1 year of recent clinical EP practice
  • Demonstrated competence in complex arrhythmia management and electrophysiology techniques
Other Requirements:
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch
  • Willingness to support hospital consults and perform electrophysiology procedures including ablations
  • Credentialing timeframe of approximately 30 days
  • Ability to work overtime at 1.5x pay rate during scheduled shifts and holidays
