About the Position
Electrophysiology Physician
Join our esteemed hospital as an Electrophysiology Physician and become a vital part of a cutting-edge cardiology team dedicated to improving patient outcomes through advanced electrophysiology procedures. In this role, you will be responsible for performing cardiac electrophysiology procedures, including ablations and device placements, with a focus on heart rhythm disturbances. You will support hospital consults, conduct EP cases, and utilize state-of-the-art technology such as Abbott Ensite-X Mapping System. Your efforts will directly impact adult patients requiring specialized heart rhythm care, with a typical caseload involving 4-6 EP procedures daily.
Required Skills:
Board Certification (BC) or Board Eligibility (BE) in Cardiology or Electrophysiology
AZ Medical License (or eligible to licensure)
DEA registration in Arizona
ACLS certification
Minimum of 1 year of electrophysiology experience, specifically demonstrating competence in ablations with at least 100 cases logged in the past 2 years
Proficiency in using Abbott Ensite-X Mapping System
Ability to perform moderate sedation confidently and independently
Experience with TEEs (Transesophageal Echocardiograms)
Nice to Have
Skills:
Prior experience with cardiac ablations and heart rhythm management
Strong knowledge of Cerner EMR system
Ability to handle moderate sedation and perform complex EP procedures independently
Familiarity with hospital consults and outpatient clinic settings
Preferred
Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Valid Arizona medical license or eligibility
At least 1 year of relevant EP procedure experience demonstrating proficiency in ablations and device management
Other Requirements:
Availability for ongoing shifts scheduled from 07:00 to 17:00, including holiday coverage at 1.5x pay rates
Support for licensing, certification, travel, and other professional reimbursements as applicable
Ability to complete credentialing within approximately 30 days
