Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Solv Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility‑scale solar, battery storage and high‑voltage substation projects nationwide. The Energy Storage Superintendent will oversee on‑site construction, ensuring safe and successful project execution in Flagstaff, AZ. The position is full‑time on a job site and will require travel.
Responsibilities and Duties- Lead and manage day‑to‑day field operations of energy storage projects.
- Mentor superintendents, assistant superintendents, craft personnel and other junior staff.
- Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and provide guidance and training to develop team members’ skills.
- Hire and develop craft labor employees.
- Develop and implement operations procedures and tools for continuous improvement and consistency across project teams.
- Ensure implementation and adherence to the Energy Storage Division’s Quality Control plan.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, adherence to company policies and best practices.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
- Support the creation of project schedules, labor/equipment plans, construction sequencing and execution planning for multiple projects.
- Review design documents for constructability and provide feedback; support the development of the Bill of Material takeoffs.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, estimating and other internal departments as needed.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including project owners, utilities, regulatory agencies, vendors and contractors.
- Track operational status, performance metrics and project updates to senior management.
- Enforce safety procedures and participate in the Safety Training Program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to promote professional development and leadership growth.
- Adherence to company policies and corporate procedures, and Electrical Safety Manual.
- Work within SE’s business processes to ensure an efficient working environment.

- Minimum 7 years of work‑related experience in energy storage, utility‑scale renewable construction and/or industrial/commercial electrical construction.
- 3–5 years of prior supervisory experience.
- State‑licensed electrician or journeyman preferred.
- Experience in operations management, including budgeting, resource allocation and performance optimization.
- NFPA
70e Qualified Person preferred; knowledge of construction and operation of electrical equipment. - OSHA
30‑hour construction safety certification. - Ability to travel and work in varied environments as required by project needs.
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and prioritization abilities.
- Knowledge of dispatching methods, techniques and practices.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks.
Requires frequent stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking and lifting 50 lbs or more. Constant finger dexterity and ability to see details at close range and at a distance are required. Occasional climbing and carrying, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working in high exposed places, and occasional exposure to environmental conditions.
