The RoleAn opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join the national finance team in a full‑time capacity. Reporting directly to the Group CFO and working closely with the executive leadership team, this role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, operational performance analysis, and core accounting functions.
This position will suit a commercially minded accountant who enjoys being close to the business, partnering with operational stakeholders, and contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Duties will include:- Preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports, including income and expenditure analysis with performance commentary for site management and executives
- Ownership of month‑end processes including general ledger reconciliations, job costing, and stock control
- Management of accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Bank reconciliations
- Payroll processing and statutory compliance including PAYG and superannuation obligations
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS
- Analysis of performance metrics and key business KPIs
- Contribute to finance team initiatives and ongoing operational improvements
The successful candidate will be detail‑oriented, highly organised, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment where accuracy and timeliness are critical.
You will bring:
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role within a multi‑entity or group environment
- Experience using Quick Books (highly regarded)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly intermediate Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and well‑presented financial reports
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High level of professionalism with a clear understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to broader team and operational initiatives
