The Club Coordinator supports the daily operations and member experience of Oakwood Creative Care's social model Club. This position provides a consistent leadership presence on the Club floor, helping ensure programming runs smoothly, members are meaningfully engaged, and staff and volunteers have the support they need.
The Coordinator's primary focus is Club floor operations, programming support, volunteer coordination, member engagement, and helping maintain a welcoming, organized, and engaging Club environment.
Club Operations & Member Experience- Maintain a consistent leadership presence on the Club floor and help ensure the daily schedule, programming, meals, transitions, and activities run smoothly.
- Support staff with day-to-day needs, member engagement, safety expectations, and problem-solving.
- Become familiar with members' interests, strengths, abilities, and preferences and help create opportunities for meaningful engagement, purpose, and connection.
- Help prepare the team for new members and support successful transitions into Club.
- Provide observations and feedback regarding member engagement, needs, abilities, or changes noticed on the Club floor.
- Provide day-to-day Club leadership and coverage as needed.
- Meet regularly with teachers to discuss programming goals, ideas, member interests, and needs.
- Support the development of creative, meaningful, adult-appropriate programming.
- Facilitate cognitive/Lifelong Learning classes and fill in for classes when needed.
- Help coordinate Club calendars, programming, special events, and activities.
- Coordinate the onboarding, education, organization, and engagement of Club volunteers.
- Ensure volunteers understand Oakwood expectations, including completion of Dementia Friends education when required.
- Connect volunteers with meaningful opportunities and provide ongoing guidance and support.
- Coordinate and support Social Work practicum students and other student placements when applicable.
- Capture and share photos, videos, member stories, and Club highlights with the marketing team.
- Assist with Club phone calls, tours, prospective members, families, volunteers, and visitors as needed.
- Communicate significant member, staff, safety, or operational concerns.
- Assist with day-to-day Club needs that support a welcoming, organized, safe, and engaging environment.
