Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night-shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.

• Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or valid compact license (pending accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• BSN preferred
• 2 years of RN experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Strong MS/Tele experience required; ICU/PCU experience a plus

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a short-term acute care teaching hospital with Level I trauma designation
• Patient ratio of 1:4/5
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to areas of greatest need, potentially including nearby affiliate hospitals
• No on-call requirements
• Standard med/surg-tele equipment used, including Liko lifts in most patient rooms
• Cerner charting system used, experience preferred
• Deliver nursing care to a med/surg-tele patient population, including cardiac, respiratory, neuro, ortho, and renal cases
• Position is part of a flex pool, so openness to floating across units and facilities is essential
• Candidates should be well-rounded and comfortable adapting to varied patient care needs
• RTO requests require unit manager approval
• Any scrub color permitted for RNs

• Previous employees of the health system must have been separated for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
