Job Title: Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP)
Location: Flagstaff, Arizona
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate
: $154 - $166/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Flagstaff, Arizona. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):- Provide surgical support services in the CT Surgery department as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Cover 4 days per month, 7a-3p, plus call coverage from 3p-7a
- Manage 10-15 CVICU/step-down patients per day, plus assist with 1-2 surgeries daily
- Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Perform special procedures including temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and A-line placement
- Demonstrate proficiency in Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting (EVH)
- Apply recent cardiothoracic surgery skills in a high-acuity setting
- Utilize Cerner EMR system for accurate and timely documentation
- Maintain board certification as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA) or applicable APRN certification (ANCC or AANP)
- Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Maintain active and unrestricted Arizona licensure (PA or APRN)
- Maintain active DEA registration
- Complete required Cerner training/orientation prior to start date
- Complete medical records in a timely manner and respond promptly to deficiency notifications
- Submit timesheets and expenses within 30 days with required documentation
