The Occupational Safety Consultant manages and oversees personnel, facility, and equipment safety for Ordnance Operations and Engineers Services at Camp Navajo under the Department of Emergency and Military Affairs. Responsibilities include accident prevention and investigation, OSHA compliance inspections, safety training, hazardous materials oversight, and support for New START Treaty compliance. The role requires extensive knowledge of military safety regulations, industrial hygiene, and occupational health standards.
Keyqualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of military safety regulations and OSHA standards
- 5-10 years experience in personnel and workplace safety (preferred)
- Completion of 32hr OSHA 501 and 511 courses and 40hr HAZWOPER course (preferred)
- Experience in safety training, compliance, and accident investigation
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance eligibility and Common Access Card
- Valid Arizona driver's license and U.S. citizenship required
