Aboutthe Position
NAU Police Officers patrol campus to detect and deter criminal or suspicious activity. Officers investigate criminal activity, vehicle accidents, personal injuries, and university administrative violations, and write detailed reports describing such incidents and investigations. NAUPD provides professional, courteous, and effective service to all campus members, including students, faculty, staff, and guests. NAUPD investigates complaints and works to resolve conflicts both on campus and concerning the campus community.
Qualifications- High School diploma or GED.
- Current AZPOST certification in good standing, or ability to obtain after successful completion of police academy or through waiver process.
- 21 years of age upon completion of academy, US citizen, meet AZPOST standards, and possess current AZ Driver’s License.
- A combination of related education, experience, and training may be used as an equivalent to the above minimum qualifications.
