This is a Driver role based in Flagstaff, AZ, completing 1-4 drives a week. The Driver will safely operate company trucks and related vehicles to transport guests, gear, guides, and supplies between the company warehouse, Lee's Ferry, and take-out locations. Daily responsibilities include pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, securing and loading/unloading rafts, equipment, and luggage, and following all applicable traffic, safety, and transportation regulations.
The Driver will assist guests and guides with luggage handling and shuttle coordination while providing clear, friendly communication and answering basic questions about trip logistics. The role also involves maintaining clean, organized vehicles, reporting maintenance needs promptly, completing required logs or documentation, and collaborating closely with office and river staff to support trip schedules.
- Professional driving skills, including Truck Driving experience with safe operation of commercial or large vehicles.
- Valid CDL Class A and a passenger endorsement (or ability to obtain a passenger endorsement within a time frame) with a clean driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact respectfully and clearly with guests, guides, and team members.
- Experience working with or around Trucks, including basic vehicle checks, loading, securing cargo, and reporting mechanical concerns.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting gear, handling luggage, and working in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable time management and attention to detail to support tight trip schedules and accurate documentation.
- Familiarity with Northern Arizona roads and Grand Canyon area logistics is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in adventure travel, hospitality, or outdoor recreation transportation is a plus.
