Parts Expeditor

Job Summary

• Location Requirement: Must be a local candidate, able to attend in-person interviews and start within 2 weeks of offer.
• Work Setting: 100% onsite position.
• License Requirement: Valid driver's license required during employment.
• Procurement & Purchasing: Responsible for ordering and purchasing vehicle/equipment parts and supplies in compliance with State Procurement Laws and agency policies.
• Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventories, reconcile stock, and maintain accurate records of parts and supplies.
• Record Keeping: Maintain purchase card logs, receipts, and enter cost data into relevant systems (e.g., Fleet Focus).
• Customer Service: Provide in-person, phone, and email support to customers regarding parts and supply needs.
• Warehouse Operations: Fill orders, stock/replenish shelves, load/unload cargo, and keep warehouse/office organized.
• Safety Compliance: Obtain, track, and post chemical Material Data Safety Sheets as needed; adhere to safety and warehousing procedures.
• Shipping & Receiving: Ship and mail parts/supplies, receive incoming goods, and check against invoices/packing slips.
• Equipment Operation: Operate state vehicles, forklift, pallet jacks, drum lifts, and truck lift gates as needed.

  Utilize MS Office, Google Workspace, and inventory management applications.
• Parts Research: Use manufacturer/vendor catalogs and cross-reference guides to identify and source parts.
• Physical Requirements: Able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds and pass a physical exam.
• Other Duties: Assist in management of parts cores and perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor or management.
