Job Responsibility

Summary:

Ensure shipping and receiving loads covered, scheduled, and moving.

• Must be well spoken and have the ability to communicate well.
• Must have the ability to work well with others.
• Must be able to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be organized and able to keep files as needed.
• Ability to dispatch to drivers as needed.

• Watch trucking schedule to not overlook times.
• Work with outside carriers to cover needed loads inbound and outbound.
• Consolidate inventory to lower costs with fewer pickups.
• Solve problems.
• Schedule loads.
• Dispatch SST trucks.
• Review mill inbound material and schedule.
• Creating customs documents.
• Build full truck load shipments based on customer orders.
• Coordinates with production to ensure scheduled coils are on site to slit.
