From  we will undertake the largest investment in water and wastewater services in the North West in 100 years - that's more than £13 billion worth of projects. As well as our main office in Warrington we also recruit for a variety of roles based across the North West; we have 575 wastewater treatment works and 96 water treatment works in areas from Crewe in Cheshire to Carlisle in Cumbria.

As a Level 3 Fleet Technician Apprentice
, you'll learn how to:

• service and repair mechanical faults on our vehicles as well as fault diagnosis using the latest computer software packages
• follow our rigorous health and safety standards, keeping yourself and others safe
• work as part of a dedicated team focused on ensuring that our vehicles and plants are maintained efficiently
• service and repair a wide range of vehicles and be able to identify any faults
• carry out routine maintenance, making sure our vehicles are always running in tip top condition

Your apprenticeship will last 42 months, and successful apprentices will achieve a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician standard, endorsed by the Institute for Apprenticeships.

Your study will be on day release. If you do not live nearby, accommodation will be reimbursed/provided by United Utilities during this period, excluding weekends.

We're looking for someone keen to gain hands-on experience, develop practical skills, and achieve the standards needed to succeed in this role.

You’ll need to have:

• 5 GCSEs or equivalent, grades A-C or grades 9-4, which must include Maths, English and a Science or Technology subject.
• A full UK driving licence will be needed as soon as possible when in role. We'll contribute up to £500 towards driving lessons and tests to help to get you on the road!
