Workshop & Fleet Supervisor

Salary: £60,000 + Company Benefits Package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Supervisor / Fleet Supervisor to join a leading business within the lifting and heavy equipment industry.

This is a key position within the workshop and fleet function, responsible for the day-to-day management of the workshop, alongside overseeing a team of technicians. You will be responsible for coordinating maintenance, inspections and repairs, whilst ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with manufacturer requirements.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Managing, coaching and supporting a team of Technicians.
  • Planning and prioritising technician workloads and maintenance activities.
  • Preparing maintenance schedules to ensure the effective deployment of equipment and personnel.
  • Coordinating maintenance, inspections and repair activities across the fleet.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with SHEQ standards, company procedures, legislation and manufacturer instructions.
  • Ensuring the required spare parts are purchased and available when needed.
  • Driving continuous improvement across workshop operations and your team's performance.
Role Requirements:
  • Good technical understanding, with the confidence to support Technicians when required.
  • A strong understanding of equipment maintenance, inspections and repairs.
  • Experience working within a workshop, fleet, plant, crane, lifting or heavy equipment environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous, however this role would also suit an experienced heavy plant, or crane technician looking to step into an office based role.
