* Duties
* * Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and structural issues using schematics and technical manuals

* Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems

* Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs accurately and efficiently

* Carry out MOT testing in accordance with legal standards, ensuring vehicles meet safety and emissions requirements

* Diagnose complex mechanical problems using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic equipment; repair or replace faulty parts as needed

* Assist in equipment repair and maintenance to keep workshop tools and machinery in optimal condition

* Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering advice on vehicle care, and ensuring a positive experience

* Requirements
* * Fully qualified with relevant certifications as a motor mechanic; MOT tester certification is essential

* Proven experience working with schematics, technical diagrams, and mechanical systems

* Strong mechanical knowledge across a variety of vehicle makes and models

* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes

* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique

* Experience in vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and equipment repair

* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly

* Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, equipment handling, and workshop operations
