RN - Operating Room - Surgery Center

The Hunterdon Center for Surgery, affiliated with Hunterdon Health, located in Flemington, New Jersey is seeking an RN in our Surgical Center. # JOB SUMMARY Assumes responsibility for providing patient care in accordance with established standards of professional nursing care. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Uses surgical skills as a first line direct patient care treatment team. Assumes the surgical treatment team leader when assigned and#ensures compliance with all policies and procedures.

Uses an understanding of principles of growth and development to assess each surgical patient#s age-specific treatment and care MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Associate#s Degree or Diploma from accredited nursing program required. Bachelor#s Degree in Nursing and certificate and/or Advanced Specialized or Technical Training preferred. MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room RN#experience.# Prior Ambulatory Surgical experience is strongly preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSE, REGISTRY OR CERTIFICATION Graduate of an accredited NLN program.# ACLS preferred.# AORN Certification preferred. # SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED Leadership, strong surgical skills and high motivation. Good communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Shows initiative and possesses good problem solving skills.
