Position Summary

Provide assistance to the director in the management of the daily operations of the Emergency Department.

Oversight and responsibility for staffing and operations
Human Resources Resource Management
Regulatory Compliance/TJC/ EMTALA

Qualifications Minimum Education:

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
Master’s Degree in Nursing

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

Required:

2-3 years previous Emergency Department experience
Preferred:
Minimum of 2-3 years leadership experience.

License, Registry or Certification:

Required:

Current NJ RN License, CPR, ACLS, PALS, IV Certified
Preferred: CEN. Must obtain CEN within 3-5 years of hire.

Knowledge, Skills And/or Abilities Required: Systems thinker, role model, and coach.
Preferred: Excellent communication and IPR skills. Must be able to function in a shared governance environment. Working knowledge of JCAHO, DOH, OSHA AND EMTALA.
