Position SummaryProvides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance.
Primary Position Responsibilities- Facilitate and Coordinate Focused Patient Care

- Maintain Professional Development
- Education of patient and family
- Minimum Education: All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in nursing or if Associate's Degree or Diploma, RN must provide proof of enrollment in a BSN program prior to hire, be continuously enrolled and complete within 5 years of hire date or internal RN promotion date.
- Minimum Experience: Minimum of two years experience as staff RN. Minimum of one year experience as cardiovascular RN.
- Preferred Experience: Previous experience in cardiac catheterization nursing.
- License, Registry or Certification: Current NJ RN licensure and BLS and ACLS certification.
- Preferred
Certifications:
PCCN, CCRN, Cardiac Vascular. - Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
- Must pass annual clinical competency based program and mandated in-service education.
- Unit specific skills may include but not limited to IV therapy, basic arrhythmia interpretation, vent training, critical care, conscious sedation, Bi-Pap/CPAP and End Tidal CO2, IABP, Impella, and other procedure related technologies.
- Skills will be determined by a challenge exam and/or skill performance or by completion of a Staff Development course.
