Position Overview
DRG NJ is seeking an Environmental Scientist with 3-5 years experience to join our growing team in our Flemington, NJ office. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with marketing, administration, and other staff scientists. PWS/PWIT certification is preferred.

Job Duties- Assist in the performance of field studies including, but not limited to, wetland/water resources delineations, endangered and threatened species studies, vegetation community studies, monitoring of wetland mitigation/restoration projects, and wildlife studies;
- Assist in the preparation of technical writings including, but not limited to, wetland delineation reports, environmental assessments/impact statements, endangered and threatened species evaluations, regulatory permit applications, tree survey reports, and other land use studies;
- Participate in team/project meetings and weekly tailgate safety meetings;
- Work safely and independently in the outdoors under a wide range of conditions and weather types;
- Properly and safely drive, operate and maintain vehicle in a variety of terrains and surfaces;
- Bachelor’s Degree in environmental science, biology, marine science, natural resources or a related field;
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in wetland delineation, natural resources permitting, ecosystem restoration, and/or mitigation;
- Working knowledge of environmental regulations pertaining to 401/404 Clean Water Act, NJ Freshwater Wetland Protection Act Rules, NJ Coastal Zone Management Rules, NJ Flood Hazard Area Control Act Rules, PA Chapter 105 permitting, and NEPA;
- Ability to demonstrate technical writing proficiency;
- Ability to perform outdoor field work/site visits in a variety of conditions required and some travel required;
- Must possess a valid US driver's license;
