Warehouse Inventory Supervisor

Overview

Working knowledge of various inventory management systems/software.

A Warehouse Inventory Supervisor oversees daily inventory operations, ensuring accurate stock levels, efficient material flow, and compliance with warehouse procedures. This role leads inventory staff, coordinates with cross‑functional teams, and drives continuous improvement across warehouse processes.

• Responsible for inventory planning, scheduling and inventory control
• Maintain precise inventory counts through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Lead, train, and schedule inventory clerks and warehouse associates to ensure high performance and adherence to SOPs.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to receiving, put‑away, picking, and replenishment workflows.
• Generate and analyze inventory reports, KPIs, and variance summaries for management review.
• Overseeing physical inventories/cycle counts/audits/reconciliations
• Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
• Analyze data to anticipate future needs
• Control budget of the shipping department
• Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
• Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
• Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met

• Experience with high‑volume distribution
• Working knowledge of various inventory management systems/software
• Experience preparing and tracking orders
• Must be focused and own inventory, quality, 5S
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
