Responsibilities
  • Perform and ensure proper completion of all avionics activities as assigned by management.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft electrical systems and equipment.
  • Test, troubleshoot, repair, install and inspect aircraft electronic systems and components including communications, navigation, and autoflight equipment.
  • Inspect and test aircraft instrument, electrical and avionics systems.
  • Ensure aircraft documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Ensure that all components installed on aircraft are properly certified.
  • Carry out duties as per the appropriate Aircraft Maintenance manuals and ensure conformity to Transport Canada regulatory standards.
  • Attend training courses as required by management and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Occasionally will be assigned “M” related hands‑on duties such as disassembling aircraft systems, removal of defective components and installing replacement parts, components and structures.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A valid Transport Canada “E” license is required.
  • Experienced with troubleshooting and repairing Avionics components and associated aircraft systems.
  • Experience in aircraft periodic inspections and heavy inspections.
  • Must be able to read, understand and interpret technical publications, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Solid knowledge of aircraft systems, aerodynamics, aircraft structures and basic applied mechanics will be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience performing a large variety of tasks relating to many aspects of aircraft maintenance.
  • A highly self‑motivated individual with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work with a diverse team.
  • Strong judgement and problem‑solving skills with ability to apply to the work.
  • 5‑5‑4 schedule flexible to work overtime and weekends.
