About the Role
The Maintenance Supervisor, Concrete Products will drive and implement programs to ensure a more robust, cost saving, efficient, and safety-focused plant maintenance system for our Concrete Products plants. The primary objective for this position is to create a proactive and preventative maintenance program.
What You'll Accomplish- Track overall maintenance costs and break down costs by categories such as parts and assets using software, pinpointing actions and assets that incur the highest costs; meet repair deadlines and keep maintenance metrics (KPIs).
- Find areas for improvement and focus on proactive maintenance strategies like preventive and predictive maintenance, e.g., bringing work in-house such as hiring a certified mechanic instead of hiring contractors, and innovate methods and equipment to improve safety and efficiency.
- Assist maintenance employees and subcontractors in creating Job Hazard Analysis for all maintenance functions.
- Schedule equipment preventive maintenance for the year in advance (e.g., oil changes).
- Find training opportunities for current workers to avoid expensive third‑party services.
- Forecast inventory needs and decrease spare parts inventory costs.
- Organize personnel for daily maintenance functions and repairs and supervise them for safety, quality, and productivity.
- Improve the onboarding process for machine operators to reduce equipment damage from improper use.
- Negotiate with maintenance vendors and spare parts providers.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments; promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
Education:
Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. Additional Education Preferred:
Journeyman Millwright or Journeyman Electrician or Mechanic.
Required
Work Experience:
7+ years in a manufacturing setting. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
Required Technical
Skills:
Microsoft Suite, Google Suite.

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
