Position: Telecommunications Directional Driller Role
Become a Directional Driller in the Telecommunications sector at Valard Construction, based in Manitoba. This role involves the efficient operation and maintenance of drilling equipment for various projects.

As a Directional Driller, you will work under the Crew Foreman, focusing on safely operating boring equipment while ensuring compliance with site safety. The role demands climate resilience and readiness to venture into confined spaces as necessary. A thorough understanding of project plans and precise record-keeping will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage directional drilling operations safely and efficiently

• Load and unload equipment properly to prevent damage

• Implementation of telecom structures and cabling systems

• Maintain daily logs of drilling activities accurately

• Engage in collaborative discussions before initiating work

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience with construction equipment

• Valid class driver's license and acceptable driver’s record

• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work outside effectively

• Understanding of ground conditions and utility locates

• Flexibility to work varying hours as needed
